24 Hour Cycle - to break the cycle of homelessness

Michelle Woods is raising money for Alabaré

24 Hour Cycle

ALABARÉ is a leading UK charity committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness. Founded in 1991 by a Christian community, we are now a lifeline for those experiencing homelessness across the South West of England and Wales, by providing homes, restoring hearts, and empowering minds.

Story

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our page.

On Wednesday 17 June and Thursday 18 June, Michael Harris & Michelle Woods will be taking on a 24‑hour cycling challenge, split across two 12‑hour days (starting again on day 2 after a break is going to be a very tough challenge!!)

We’re doing this to raise money for Alabaré, a charity that works tirelessly to support people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or facing complex life challenges.

This challenge means a lot to us — not just because of the physical effort involved, but because of what it represents.

We can’t do this alone we are going to be joined along the way by our amazing colleagues who will help us to keep going and to meet our goal of 1000 miles over the 2 days.

And that feels like a powerful reflection of Alabaré’s work.

Homelessness isn’t something one person or one organisation can solve alone. It takes community, compassion, and people willing to show up and help keep things moving forward.

About Alabaré

Alabaré supports individuals to rebuild their lives by providing safe accommodation, helping people gain confidence and independence, and supporting long‑term positive change. Their work goes far beyond a roof over someone’s head — it’s about breaking cycles of hardship and giving people the chance to move forward.

How you can help

If you’re able to donate, no matter the amount, you’ll be helping to change lives.

Every pound really does make a difference.

Every mile. Every donation. Every person matters.

Thank you so much for supporting us — and for helping Alabaré continue their incredible work 💛
