On Wednesday 1st July 2026, a dedicated group of students from Reddam House Berkshire will come together to take on the Reddam House Charity Sleepout, a personal challenge in support of Alabaré.

From 8pm to 8am, these compassionate young individuals in Year 9 and above will spend the night outdoors, building and sleeping in makeshift cardboard shelters.

This experience is designed not only to raise awareness about homelessness, but also to foster empathy and resilience by stepping into the shoes of those who face such hardships every night.

The evening will begin with a Soup Kitchen experience from 8pm to 9pm, setting the tone for reflection and understanding. Following this, students will use limited resources to create their own shelters under the open sky.

Our slogan for this event is: "Sleep under the sky so others don’t have to." This powerful message reminds us all of the urgent need to support vulnerable people across the UK who lack safe and stable homes.

We are proud to fundraise for Alabaré, a charity that tirelessly supports people experiencing homelessness, young people at risk, veterans, and other vulnerable individuals by providing accommodation, vital support services, and opportunities for rebuilding their lives.
