This years chosen charity for Skilled Careers has been selected none other than the amazing Charity that is Mind!

Even though statistically 1 in 4 people have mental health problems across the UK, most of us don’t get the help we need. This has to change. Mind is doing that. Mind are here to fight for mental health. For support, for respect, for you.

In order to help out Mind this year, as always Skilled Careers will be running a series of fundraising events so we can do our best in assisting some of the most special Charities amongst the UK.

Kicking things of with Snowdon on Saturday the 21st of June on one of the hottest days of the year, a team of us will be taking the harder route up Wales' Biggest Mountain.

For the main event! Myself and a team of 6 will be taking on the London to Amsterdam Bike ride, trekking a minimum of 300 miles from the city of London, down to the coast of Kent, straight through the beaches of Dunkirk and on through the roads of Holland leading us to our final destination...AMSTERDAM!

With Mind Charity being something quite close to me, having an understanding of the affects it can cause people along with the little help that can be provided when people are most in need, i am passionate on taking on such a challenge and ridding myself of any fear that is Cycling on the roads(News flash - I haven't road a bike since i was 15).

Training has begun, and now so has the fundraising. Any donations to this fantastic charity for our efforts would be greatly appreciated and never forgotten!
