The last time I abseiled, was off the cliffs near Freshwater and it was approximately 60 years ago, So this will be slightly different!

I've got to an age (a mere 85) where if I don't do exciting things now I may get too old and not be able to do them!

After I did the sky dive last summer in aid of Age UK Isle of Wight I was pleased see that this summer they are offering the opportunity to abseil down the Spinnaker Tower, which is 170m tall - and I'm only about one 1.5m so that's a lot of abseiling!

I volunteer for Age UK Isle of Wight and I think they are a brilliant local charity who support older people on the Island.
