Story
So I flubbed up! Last autumn I was to run the Robin Hood Half Marathon with my friends and colleagues in the biomedical sciences. The day before the race, I discovered that my registration had not been processed. This year I plan to run the Peak District South to North 50k on 22 Nov. rather than RH. Thank you to all who have already donated. If anyone would like to support my efforts this year, please feel free to use the donation button on this page.
About Us (from my dear friend, Elizabeth Marsh): We are researchers investigating HPV-positive head and neck cancer at the University of Derby. The incidence of this cancer is on the rise - in fact, head and neck cancer is the 4th most common cancer in men. Unfortunately, we know how devastating this disease can be for the patients that we work with, and so we strive to raise awareness of HPV-positive head and neck cancer as well as work to identify new markers of the disease through our lab-based research.
Oracle Head and Neck Cancer UK fund our research; they have been instrumental partners in our basic science and awareness projects. They are an incredible charity dedicated to advancing medical science as well as advocating for patients to improve outcomes for those with head and neck cancer. We're running to raise funds, but more importantly to continue to raise awareness of HPV-positive head and neck cancer.
