Story

The plan is to carry out a pilgrim walk in North Wales, from Twywn to Aberdaron see link which details the stages: https://pererin.com/llwybyr-cadfan/

It is approximately 127 miles and we plan to start on the 10 May and finish on the 20th May.

This walk is in memory of my Gorgeous wife Glynwen who passed away peacefully at home on the 8th October 2024 after a brave 17 month battle with a grade 4 glioblastoma to the right temporal lobe. She underwent a craniotomy to partially remove some of the tumour under the care of the amazing team at The Walton Centre followed by radio and chemotheraphy under the excellent care at the North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre at Glan Clwyd. Throughout all this, my brave lady never complained. In the latter months Glynwen's mobility decreased and she was finally bed bound and we were so lucky to have brilliant care from the District Nurses, Palliative Care NurseNurses and the Tuag Adref team (who came in 2-3 times a day(without them I don't know what we would have done)).

One of Glynwen's ex colleagues and great friends, Brenda Lewis (Nurses working in the Community with the Special Needs Children Service) came up with the idea to carry out this walk in memory of Glynwen.

The plan is for myself and Brenda to carry out the whole walk with friends, families, and former work colleagues invited to join at different stages or all if they can.

If you fancy joining any of the stages you are more than welcome please contact Brenda or myself and we will let you know where we will be on any given day.

Glynwen, we miss you every day.

Proceeds from this walk will go to The Brain Tumour Charity.
