Story
My dear brother Kevin sadly passed away last year, just 8 months after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. He was a wonderful father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to a great many people.
Kevin never complained even after his terminal diagnosis or while his health deteriorated. He was kind, great fun and full of life, something that was cruelly taken away by a disease that now kills more people under the age of 40 than any other cancer, and has seen a 20% increase among older adults in the last 25 years. Despite this, it only receives 1% of funding for cancer research.
Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this via world-class, pioneering research and advocacy. That's why I'm running the Edinburgh Marathon (with a very dodgy knee) on the 24th May to raise funds for their work, so other families and friends don't have to go through the same heartache and pain.
Please do donate if you can, it really is a wonderful cause and it'll help get me over the finish line!
Much love,
Brendan
