On 11th May 2024, I will be running the Helsinki Half Marathon, which 6 months ago would have felt unfathomable. I wanted to use this opportunity to raise money for an important charity in my local area, rather than a larger, nationwide or global charity. Trafford Rape Crisis does incredible work, offering free and confidential support to women and girls in Greater Manchester, who have been affected by sexual violence in any form. Furthermore, they work with other local partners to educate and improve our community.
