Story
As many of you know I lost my Wife/Mummy to Gracie and Milo to Cancer in 2023. This has left us completely heartbroken as she was everything to us.
Unfortunately, the battle continues and this is why I have made a very conscious choice to raise awareness around children's mental health. And in the process, I hope that raising this awareness, other children experiencing loss are able to get the help and support that they need - both at the time, and later on, or as and when they need it.
This journey has been one of trying to build a life out of devastation. And while I can't thank everyone enough for supporting us, I am very much aware of the ongoing support the children require to navigate this new life.
Every day across the UK, children and young people lose someone significant to them. The death of someone important can be the most traumatic experience a child or young person will ever face.
In order to support these families and children, I will be taking on a huge challenge of cycling 400km from Vietnam to Cambodia in 6 days, in November 2025. All the funds raised will be going to Winston’s Wish.
Winston’s Wish relies on voluntary charitable donations to support children and their families following the death of a parent, sibling or important person. Since 1992, they have helped tens of thousands of bereaved children and young people and, with your help, can help tens of thousands more during the most difficult time of their lives.
Please, I know times are tough, but if you could spare anything it would be greatly appreciated and hopefully one step closer to not only continuing to help us but other families too.
Thank you to each and every one of you who have supported us and I am excited about this challenge ahead of me.
There's a famous quote by David Kessler, "Children are often the forgotten grievers"
