Story

This summer, I’ll be taking on two of my biggest ultra marathon challenges yet, consisting of 200 miles!

To push myself further and to do something positive with these adventures, I’ll be raising money for The Fire Fighters Charity. They do incredible work, offering specialist, lifelong support to members of the UK fire services community, helping them live happier and healthier lives — a cause that means a lot to me.

Now, onto the challenges...

The first challenge is a tough one — and the most personal.
I’ve designed a 104 mile route with 14,000ft of elevation through the stunning Galloway Hills, celebrating the place I call home. It takes in the Rhinns of Kells, the Galloway Forest, Cairnsmore of Carsphairn, Benbrack, and parts of the Southern Upland Way. The start and finish will be at Clatteringshaws Loch — the place where I ran my first ever long run (14 miles) back in 2021. I vividly remember finishing that run thinking I’d never want to run that far again… yet here we are, going much, much further. It feels like the perfect place to begin and end this journey.

Second up, I’ll be running Scotland’s first official long-distance route, the iconic West Highland Way. It’s 96 miles with 11,000ft of elevation, stretching from Milngavie to Fort William — and I’ll be running it completely self-supported. To make this even tougher I plan to run it under 24 hours.

Thank you so much to everyone supporting me
