This page has been set as a way for friends and family to make a donation in dad's memory to a wonderful local organisation.

Community Food and Friendship is a registered charity run solely by volunteers, some of whom were dad's former "Holy Weeds" colleagues. It is a Christian based charity open to serve the community.

They offer :

'Coffee Crew' A warm space open to all . Monday mornings (except bank Holidays) 8.30am-11. 30am. Breakfast of toast, coffee, tea , with soup at the end of the morning.

' Bacon butty club.' Thursday 8.30-11.00am. A men's group with food, a food parcel and chat

Indoor, Tabletop Market, open to all . Thursdays 11.30-2.00pm.

Fourth@4 - Cafe church, open to all, on the 4th Sunday of every month offering food, friendship and fellowship

They work with the local authority and other organisations who refer those in need; they can provide emergency food parcels, toiletries and clothing if needed.

Their focus is on those who are homeless or living in HMO housing in Blyth. They aim to support those who need it, signposting them to mentors in their search for work opportunities.

During the school holidays they support families who may find it difficult to provide food for their families and work closely with schools to provide this service to the community.

Christmas time can also be difficult for some families, and they provide toy parcels, gift bags and paper for many. They also make up especially festive food hampers too, with much of the food kindly donated by local supermarkets.
