Zoe's Place is a home from home for babies/infants who have life limiting and life threatening conditions. Zoe's Place offers palliative, specialist respite, and end of life care for infants from birth to five years old. We receive very little funding and therefore rely on donations/fundraising.

Story

Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice is the only UK children’s hospice that specialises in supporting children who have life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses or profound disabilities with a wide range of diagnoses.

Our nurse-led care focusses on helping children make the most of everyday moments and experiences, with further support available for the whole family. We offer a range of therapies and activities for children who stay with us for regular respite care, helping them to embrace their childhood.

Little did I know that when I created the Boundary 500 Motorcycle Santa Ride back in 2006 in aid if Zoe's Baby Hospice at Middlesbrough that it would become such a successful and popular annual event.

This year the date for the ride has been set as Saturday 30th November 2024 and I am so grateful for the support we have been given in ensuring the event goes ahead.

Full details of the event can be found on my Facebook Santa Ride page at; https://www.facebook.com/Boundary500SantaRide

This year we will have 160 Motorcycles with the riders and pillions dressed up in Christmassy attire and bringing smiles to all those that come out to see us.

There will be a vintage Fire Engine at the front of the procession and another at the rear. There will also be an open Top double decker bus carrying local ViP's.

There will also be a private Ambulance following the procession.

The Police are hoping to have six Police Motorcycles and two marked Police Vehicles ensuring the safety of the procession over its route.

The event has proved sop popular that we have now raised in excess of four hundred and five thousand pounds for the Hospice as well as making people aware of the services that the hospice provide.

Last year the estimate was between 50 and 100 thousand people lining the twenty two mile route.

All our partners have been working extremely hard and we need you support to ensure the event continues to take place each year.

If you can make a donation to this just giving page we would be so grateful.
