Story
As many of you know my amazing and beautiful wife of nearly 40 years, Nicola, recently passed away. She had suffered from Crohn's disease since her early twenties but despite this and all the many medical complications that were thrown her way, she loved life and made the most of her good times. She hid her pain so well and so loved being part of family and friends gatherings. It is just so sad what she had to go through, life can be so cruel. Nicola wanted me to do one last fundraising for a little charity which desperately needs funds, it's called very appropriately Guts UK. This is their little message.
"We're getting to grips with guts!"
25ft is a lot of gut to understand! The truth is, our guts have been underfunded, understaffed and undervalued for decades. People are suffering, people are dying. All because of a lack of knowledge about our guts.
With new knowledge, we will end the pain and suffering for the millions affected by digestive diseases.
Guts UK’s research leads to earlier diagnoses, kinder treatments and ultimately, a cure.
I think this is on the borderline of my capabilities but I'm obviously going to give it a good go. Myself and Nicola would be so grateful for any donations to help support this great cause. Thankyou.
