I have just entered a race that is at another level for me. My longest distance ever attempted.

I have signed up to run the 100K(62 mile) Gower Peninsula Ultra Marathon with 2200M elevation, running across the whole of the Gower coastline and landscape in South Wales on July 19th.

Why? I want to raise as much money as I can for charities close to my heart. Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity) and Sparks (of which GOSH is combined with), the children’s medical research charity.

Research and support needs to continue into childhood illnesses and bereavements more than ever so any money I can raise will greatly help in these areas so I appreciate any amount no matter the value.

Our son Jack Peters would have been 27 years old today so this is the right time to announce this, celebrate the joy he gave us for the precious time he was with us and attempt the challenge in his name, as always helping me raise my bar higher than I ever thought I could. ❤️
