Story
Sue Ryder Leckhampton Hospice costs £16,000 per day or £4.5 million annually to run all of Sue Ryder’s palliative care services. And needs to raise 70% of this though donations and community support. We can’t do that without the amazing and continued generosity of our supporters.

I first rode the Ride4Ryder sportive in 2012, when Annie was receiving care from the Sue Ryder Leckhampton Hospice.
Since then, I've ridden every event, except 2024. I've ridden over 1,381 miles, climbed more than 51,761 feet, and spent 82 hours 30 minutes in the saddle, at an average speed of 16.7mph! In 2020, when covid cancelled the ride, I spent 7 days cycling "Everest" on local hills in the Cotswolds and Malverns.
In 2015/16&17, I rode for Sue Ryder in the Prudential London 100. Finishing in 2016 in my best time, 5hrs 8 minutes, despite crashing 8 miles from the finish line!
In 2017, I took the Sue Ryder Leckhampton Hospice jersey to Vancouver and rode the 75 mile Sea to Sky Grand Fondo from Vancouver to Whistler.
In 2019 & 21, I supported the Sue Ryder Keighley Hospice "Bronte Sportive". 75 miles and over 8,500 feet of climbing in the Yorkshire Dales.
The Sue Ryder Leckhampton Hospice is here for everyone and needs our support to provide the amazing care to patients and their families. Its not just about the patient. The support I and many other bereaved partners have received from thwe Sue Ryder Leckhampton Hospice has been crucial in enabling us to build a positive future.
Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can access the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with Sue Ryder's support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. They are there when it matters.
Please donate generously to this amazing charity.
Thank you and wishing you health and happiness
Brian
