Carole and I are walking Wainwright's Coast to Coast walk, starting at St Bees, Cumbria, in the West, walking through the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors, finishing in Robin Hood's Bay, Yorkshire, in the East, 192 miles in total.

WaterAid is a charity we have supported for many years. WaterAid's aim is that everyone, everywhere, will have access to clean water, safe sanitation and good hygiene by 2030. Our 'Water Walk' is our small way, with your help, of achieving this ambition.

WaterAid is an international not-for-profit charity, determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere within a generation. Only by tackling these three essentials in ways that last can people change their lives for good.

Clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene should be a normal part of everyone’s daily life. Without all three, people can’t live dignified, healthy lives. With all three, they can unlock their potential, break free from poverty and change their lives for good.
