Story
We're swimming from Padstow to Rock - a 1 mile tidal swim, across the Camel Estuary! It may sound easy but the currents and conditions will make it a real challenge. We’re doing it to push ourselves while raising funds for a cause that makes an incredible difference to so many people.
Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, they’re with you to the end. They bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care they give you at home, in their hospices and over the phone. And they push for a better end of life for all by campaigning and sharing research to change the system.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Marie Curie continue their amazing work supporting people when they need it most. If you’re able to donate, we would be hugely grateful. And if not, sharing this page would also mean a lot and help us reach more people.
Thank you for supporting us and helping make a difference!
...Water temperature of the Estuary averages, in July, 14-16 degrees... Water temperature of a Swimming pool 29 degrees!
