Bernard was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2011 and felt strongly about raising awareness amongst men. He volunteered with the local Prospect support group and maintained their website for many years.

This is the second time our family has been affected by this disease, we feel strongly that further research is urgently needed.

Prostate Cancer Research are dedicated to creating brand new prostate cancer treatments. Prostate cancer is now the most diagnosed cancer in the UK and 11,500 men die from the disease every year. People affected by prostate cancer need breakthrough treatments, and research is the only way to turn this hope into reality.
