We help blind and partially sighted people to break down the barriers of sight loss

Story

I know times are hard for everyone right now but did you know there are currently over 2 million people in the UK living with sight loss - 340,000 of those are registered blind or partially sighted.

Only 27% of working age blind or partially sighted people are in paid employment. This is largely due to a lack of accessibility and awareness. There are currently no national-level employment programmes to provide jobs for visually impaired people.

If you were to lose your sight tomorrow, would you still be able to provide for your family or do the things you love?

On the 28th October 2021 our Mia lost her sight due to a collection of brain tumours along her optic pathway, she was just 16 months old. In April 2024 I will be running the London marathon in aid of the RNIB.

The RNIB (The Royal National Institute of Blind People) is the UK's leading sight loss charity. They offer practical and emotional support to blind and partially sighted people, their families and carers. They raise awareness of the experiences of blind and partially sighted people and campaign for change to make our society more accessible for all. They want to change our world so there are no barriers to people with sight loss.

I want Mia and anyone else suffering with sight loss to grow up in a world where she can access the same experiences as everyone else. Any donations you can offer will go a long way towards making that a possibility.

Thank you so much 🧡
