Your donation will ensure that education is accessible for many young girls in Malawi. Myself, Máire and Eithne (my Mum) will be climbing in the Mournes this September, hoping to undertake 3 of the highest peaks; Slieve Donard, Slieve Commedagh and Slieve Bearnagh; or as many as we are capable of. The funds will go to The Malawi Projects charity. The Malawi Projects will find the creation and operation of education centres in Malawi. Challenges specific to young girls are addressed by providing education and sanitary products to minimise the (sadly widespread) stigma and disruption that comes with getting their period. Wider education support is provided by The Malawi Projects for people right up to university level.
