My Breast Cancer Journey & Fundraising 💗

In January 2025, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Two weeks later, I underwent surgery to remove the tumour, followed by chemotherapy, radiotherapy and Herceptin treatment.

After what has been a long and difficult journey, I finally finished my treatment in March 2026. I am incredibly grateful to have reached this point, and I now want to turn my experience into something positive by raising awareness and funds for two charities that are very close to my heart.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and I would urge everyone to please take the time to check their breasts regularly and get to know what is normal for you. If you notice any changes or anything that concerns you, please speak to your doctor. 💗

I have set up this JustGiving page to raise funds for Pretty 'n' Pink and Mayobridge Lourdes Fund.

Both charities do wonderful work supporting people and families.

As part of our fundraising, my family will be taking part in a Spinathon at O’Hares Eurospar, Mayobridge, on Saturday 17th October at 8.00am. We would love to see you there and really appreciate all your support.

I am also so proud that my daughter Jordan and her partner, Ciara who live in Sydney, Australia, will be doing a half manathon for our charities. Even though they are on the other side of the world, they are helping us support this very special cause, and it means so much to me and our family. 💗

We will also be selling raffle tickets, (prizes to follow ) with the raffle draw taking place at Mayobridge Social Club on Saturday 24th October.

I would like to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to everyone who has donated raffle prizes. Your generosity means so much to me and my family and will help us raise as much as possible for these two wonderful charities.

I would also like to thank everyone who has supported us so far — whether you have donated, bought raffle tickets, donated a prize, supported the Spinathon, taken part in the run, shared our page or simply sent a kind message.
