Story
Hi guys,
I am running the Brighton marathon on the 6th of April and although I wasn't originally running for charity, a few people asked me if I was (because if so they'd donate...)
It seemed a good idea so I've chosen a charity based on something extremely personal that happened to me.
In November, I had a very bad crash on the A1, which I found quite traumatic. I'm very lucky and thankful to still be alive. A few months prior to this, I witnessed the aftermath of an accident where a woman was killed on Barrowby Road in Grantham. Therefore, I consider this charity a worthy cause as it educates around road safety and supports those affected by car accidents.
Every day, five people die on UK roads and many more are seriously injured. When the worst happens, Brake is here to help.
Brake is a national road safety charity that cares for people bereaved and injured in road crashes and campaigns for safer roads for all.
