Last year, a child at my sons’ school was in the wrong place at the wrong time and tragically suffered a devastating brain injury in truly awful circumstances. Her family and the school have since benefitted from the services provided by the Child Brain Injury Trust. Running this marathon gives me an opportunity to raise funds to help them continue their critical support for families impacted by child brain injury.

Every half an hour in the UK, a child or young person will acquire a brain injury.
