We are fundraising in memory of our dear David, who will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

David was diagnosed with critical congenital heart disease at just 13 days old. He had obstructed infracardiac total anomalous pulmonary venous drainage (TAPVD), a rare and serious heart condition.

His heart condition was not detected at his 20-week anomaly scan.

Despite courageously fighting a tough battle and receiving excellent care at Glasgow Queen Elizabeth Hospital, David sadly died at just 4 weeks old.

David's life was too short but he left an everlasting love. He had the most precious wee smirk and his family will forever treasure the cutest expressions and warm cuddles he gave.

As hard as we wish for every day to be able to watch David grow up, we can't change what happened. We want to help make a difference to other families with babies who have CHD.

The Tiny Tickers 100 Challenge

1 in 100 babies are born with congenital heart disease.

We are taking part in the Tiny Tickers 100 Challenge by walking 100 miles each during the month of October. David's Granny Beth' will be crocheting 100 butterflies for babies and their families. This will raise vital funds for a charity dedicated to improving the early detection of congenital heart disease.

Early detection improves the chances of survival and outcomes for babies born with congenital heart disease. Tiny Tickers have helped to improve antenatal detection rates. The charity also funds equipment, supports families and raises awareness. £675 enables their experts to provide specialist on-site training for 10 sonographers.

We are doing this for David.

For his cheeky smirk.

For his precious little life.

For the love he gave us.

And for all the babies and families who may need Tiny Tickers in the future.
