I'm taking on the Surrey Half Marathon 5K because supporting local families through Home-Start is my passion. HSEEB is a remarkable charity dedicated to supporting local families facing challenges. As the Chair of Trustees, I am honoured to work alongside an incredible team of staff and volunteers who make a huge difference to the lives of the families we serve.

In 2026, we will proudly celebrate our 30th Birthday, a testament to our commitment to giving families and children the best possible start in life. However, raising the funds necessary to continue our vital work is a challenge. I urge you to give generously so that we can help parents and children not just survive but truly thrive.

On March 22, 2026, I will be walking 5K while others, including my grandson, will be running the half marathon.

Here are some of our impact examples:

£20 - A Listening Ear for a Parent. Helps cover the cost of a volunteer's visit to a family, offering emotional support and practical help when when they feel overwhelmed.

£50 - A Month of Regular Support. Funds a month of regular home visits for a family giving them stability, encouragement and someone they can trust at a difficult time.

£100 - Strengthening a Family in Crisis. Provides several weeks of tailored support for a parent experiencing anxiety, isolation, or early-years challenges, helping them feel more confident and connected.
