Story

Matt Ward was a former Bristol Lacrosse player who tragically took his own life in 2020. Every year since his passing, Bristol Lacrosse Club has held a charity match against Exeter in his honour to remember Matt and to support those who are struggling with their mental health.

This year, our chosen charity is Bristol Samaritans, selected in collaboration with Matt’s family. Bristol Samaritans provides a safe, confidential space for people facing mental health challenges and emotional distress.

We would greatly appreciate your support in helping to combat mental health issues and in ensuring that Bristol Samaritans can continue their vital work. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help provide life-saving support to those who need it most.
