At Bristol University Press we practice what we preach, with staff supporting a small local charity annually. Our chosen charity for 2026 is One25.

One25 supports women involved in street sex work in Bristol, helping them move from crisis and trauma toward living independently in the community. The charity provides a non-judgmental space where women can feel empowered to leave street sex work, stay safer from violence and access specialist support to build skills and independence. The One25 outreach van meets women on the streets at night, the casework team give one-to-one specialist support, and the health hub offers access to healthcare professionals.
