Bristol 'Lap 150' for Star Throwers - Cancer Support Charity

Timothy Martin is raising money for Star Throwers - Cancer Support Charity

Running 150 laps of a lake - 50 miles · 30 September 2025

Star Throwers is dedicated to supporting people affected by cancer. We provide information sessions to help people to become well-informed about their cancer and treatment options and we help people to manage the effects of their cancer and cancer treatments through our wellbeing services.

Story

On Tuesday 30th September at 8am, I'll be starting out from the Lake View, Aviva Bristol offices and running 150 times around the Lake - in total just under 50 miles.

This attempt is in support of a group challenge, organised by friends and colleagues for 2025, called 'Challenge 150'.

Why 'Challenge 150?' - the answer is simple; over 150 new breast cancer cases are diagnosed in the UK every day (Source: Cancer Research UK).

Our mission is to raise awareness about the importance of self-examination, to raise funds for cancer charities and to support them by volunteering our time and effort.

Please do what you can to help and keep your fingers crossed that I don't get too dizzy and fall in :-)
