Yorkshire Three Peaks · 8 June 2024

The British Council Benevolent Fund (known affectionately as the 'Ben Fund') was established in 1948 to grant ‘relief or assistance to past and present British Council staff or their families or dependants in necessitous circumstances’ and it continues to support staff and their loved ones today.

Story

Can you help us raise £10,000?

We are a team of colleagues from across the UK, raising money for the British Council Ben Fund* by attempting to walk the Yorkshire Three Peaks in one day on 8th June! It can be done (apparently!) in 12 hours and is 24-miles (38.6km) and includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent.

Why?

We are supporting the Ben Fund. All donations will go directly to supporting colleagues around the world (past and present), who find themselves needing urgent financial assistance as a result of war, natural disasters, illness or bereavement.

Who is in the team so far?

22 colleagues have signed up so far and there is still time to join.

Your support means a lot to us. Every contribution will help.

Wish us luck...
