Story
For over 10 years (and three years since the full scale invasion), Ukraine has fought for survival. Thousands of defenders have lost limbs but not hope. The world must not forget them.
Why We Run:
On 16 March 2025, our team—three Ukrainian veterans and a dedicated volunteer—will run the Zurich Barcelona Marathon (42.195 km) with a clear mission:
1) to remind the world that Ukraine is still fighting and
2) to raise urgent funds for rehabilitation and prosthetics for seriously wounded Ukrainian defenders.
Meet the Team:
Oleksii Rudenko & Heorhii Roshka – Ukrainian marines, amputee veterans who previously completed the London Marathon.
Ivan Palamarchuk – paratrooper officer from Odesa, who currently trains the next generation of Ukrainian defenders.
Ksenia Miletska – a long-term volunteer and activist.
Our Goal: £42,195 for 42.195 km
We aim to raise £1 per meter—£42,195 total.
Every donation directly funds prosthetics, rehabilitation, and recovery programs for seriously injured Ukrainian defenders.
