Throughout October 2026, Russian missile and drone attacks have intensified, repeatedly targeting power plants, electrical substations, and critical energy infrastructure across Ukraine.

Even Kyiv has suffered extensive damage. All three of the city's major combined heat and power plants were struck in October, while repeated attacks have caused widespread power outages and disruptions to essential services.

And the attacks continue.

On 20 October, further strikes damaged energy facilities across several regions, including western Ukraine, leaving tens of thousands of families without electricity.

If the situation is this critical in the capital, imagine the challenges faced by communities near the front line, where hospitals, emergency medical teams, and casualty stabilisation points must continue saving lives under extremely difficult conditions.
