In Memory of ‘Pearcey’

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
So here it goes, I’ve finally taken the leap to carry out a childhood dream. On 27th April 2025, I will be running the London Marathon in memory of my dad, Paul Pearce.
My dad was a Paralympic marathon runner for Team GB in Athens 2004 (Visually Impaired) and won gold at the 2003 IBSA World Championships - I’ve always wanted to challenge myself and follow in his footsteps by running the London Marathon; the first marathon he ever ran.
Over time, he suffered from a detached retina in both eyes - this never deterred him from running due to the joy it gave him. I will be raising money for British Blind Sport, a small, but ambitious charity who transform lives through improved accessibility to sport and physical activity for those with sight loss.
The London Marathon, British Blind Sport and the journey I will be on over the next year mean so much to me - I’d appreciate it if you were to donate, no matter how big or small.. thank you!
