What We Are Doing....

On 27th May there will be a FRYER Vs LAVER charity football match hosted for the British Thyroid Foundation who supports people with thyroid disorders. Sadly, thyroid disease can often be ‘invisible’ to others, which can be both distressing and isolating for patients. The charity is determined to change this by raising awareness of how this tiny gland can affect so many aspects of health. They are also committed to providing information and support to anyone living with a diagnosis.

As well as anyone who can join and have a laugh at these lot *try* to play football we are also holding a raffle. The raffle will be for anyone who donates in person or through this page, it is £5 per strip so please be sure to pop your name in when donating!

Why We Are Doing It....

**She is going to hate us for this but oh well.... **

For our own "Mumma Jane" none of us was prepared for how this would impact our Mum, we was all unaware of how much this would impact her through physical and psychological symptoms.

For anyone that knows our Mum, knows she is the life and soul of any party (even if there isn't one) and when she started to become ill in late 2021 where we saw her sit back hang up her party shoes (flip flops!) and we/she felt like she had lost her old self. This disease affected her in multiple ways, many that aren't obvious to others, however after lots of referrals, persistent chasing and multiple visits to London hospitals she was finally diagnosed with Graves and TED.

This is only the start of the journey and will be a forever ongoing journey for her but we feel incredibly lucky that she is now getting the treatment she needs.
