Story
As part of the Big Help Out Weekend 2026, Bromley Explorer Scouts will be sleeping out at Greenwich Naval College for the night to support Bromley Homeless, a local charity which helps those who are at risk of, or have become, Homeless.
Explorers are a go-getting group of young people aged 14 to 18. Being an Explorer is all about discovering the world on your own terms and making the most of what you have, wherever and whoever you are, sleeping out in the unique location of Greenwich Naval College, the Explorers will develop their understanding of homelessness while fundraising to support their local Homeless charity.
Bromley Homeless run a day service, providing advice and support, medical support, counselling, a food, clothes and hygiene bank and a safe welcoming space for rough sleepers. They operate a winter night shelter, a hosting scheme and starter pack service to provide emergency accommodation and support to adults and families to move on and resettle in new homes.
