Bronagh's fundraiser for Friends of Harberton

Bronagh McGarry is raising money for Friends of Harberton

Sponsored walk · 26 June 2026

Friends of Harberton was set up to support pupils of Harberton Special School aged 3 - 16. It is our aim to advance the education of the pupils in Harberton School and Outreach Services and in particular to: i) Provide appropriate play, education, and care facilities for children of primary school age with special educational needs who attend Harberton School and Outreach Services. ii) Provide and assist in the provision of services for children of primary and post primary school age with special educational needs who attend Harberton School and Outreach Services, that enables the development of skills in communication, reasoning, aesthetic appreciation, and environmental awareness. iii) Provide and assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of education, social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the quality of life for the parents and their children with special educational needs who attend Harberton School and Outreach Services. iv) Promote all or any purposes for the benefit of the children with special educational needs in the area of benefit, which now or hereafter may be deemed by law to be charitable under the law of Northern Ireland.

Story

My son attends Harberton Special Needs School, a place that provides invaluable support and education tailored to children with unique needs. The school relies heavily on the charity "Friends of Harberton" to secure additional funding that ensures these essential services continue and improve.

On 26th June 2026, we will be participating in a sponsored walk up Divis Mountain to raise funds for this wonderful cause. This personal walk is not just a challenge but a heartfelt effort to give back to the community that supports our children every day.

We are aiming to raise £500, and every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference. Your support means the world to us and helps provide resources that directly benefit the students. Please consider joining us in this journey or donating to help us reach our goal. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
