The Tom Barrow Brugada Trust is a UK charity set up in memory of Tom Barrow, who tragically died in November 2023 from Brugada syndrome. Tom, a devoted father of three, passed away unexpectedly due to this little-known cardiac condition. The Trust’s mission is to fund and promote research, supporting medical teams—especially in Wales—to better understand, diagnose, and ultimately prevent Brugada syndrome and related cardiac arrhythmias. By raising funds and awareness, the Trust strives to save lives through early detection and treatment.

Story

Bronwen & Gethin Run the Cardiff Half in Memory of Tom Barrow

This October, we’re lacing up our trainers and taking on the Cardiff Half Marathon in memory of our much-loved and deeply missed son-in-law and brother-in-law, Tom Barrow.

Tom left us far too soon due to Brugada Syndrome, a rare heart condition. In his honour, the Tom Barrow Brugada Trust was created to raise awareness and fund research into this silent condition that affects so many families.

It’s been 7 years since we last ran a marathon together, but we couldn’t think of a better reason to team up again. Every step we take is for Tom — to celebrate his life, to raise vital funds, and to help others through the work of the Trust.

We would be so grateful for your support. Every donation, big or small, will make a real difference.

Thank you for helping us keep Tom’s memory alive and supporting a cause so close to our hearts.
