I am running the 5k Maccabi GB Community Fun Run in memory of my Bat Mitzvah twin Broche Janus, who was sadly not able to celebrate this special milestone in her life.

Broche lost her life on the 23rd of June 1941 at the age of 4. At the time, Lithuania was under German Nazi military occupation.

Yad Vashem is the official memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. It is dedicated to guarding the memory and experiences of those who were murdered and those who thankfully managed to survive the Holocaust, in the hope we can avoid such a terrible atrocity happening again.
