Story
When I was raped last year in Cambridge, I was at a loss with what to do. The support provided to me by services in Cambridgeshire and beyond were genuinely life saving for me. For example, being provided with an ISVA made approaching the criminal justice system possible, and resulted in the a guilty verdict in the end.
Right now, CRCC and other organisations are supporting hundreds of survivors of sexual violence and abuse whose support needs have hugely intensified due to the impacts of the pandemic, cost-of-living crisis, collapse of the Criminal Justice System and severely reduced access to statutory mental health services.
To show my support and appreciation for support I received, I'm taking on the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon to raise funds to support their crucial work, to ensure no women suffering from VAWG in Cambridge has to go through it alone.
Any and all donations to support me in my challenge will make a huge difference in enabling them to ensure no woman or girl has to cope alone with impacts of sexual violence and abuse.
Thank you 🩷
