Story
Myself and my partner are taking on a sponsored walk to raise money for my incredible son Oscars amazing school that supports him every single day.
My son is autistic and non-verbal. He experiences the world in his own unique way, and while he may not use words to communicate, he shows us love, strength and resilience in ways that inspire us constantly. His specialist school provides the tailored support, therapies and safe environment he needs to learn, grow and thrive. Since Oscar has started at Brooklands I’ve seen a new wave of happiness in him. The team of amazing staff members who support him daily show him so much love and care that I will be forever grateful for.
Schools like Brooklands who support children with additional needs rely heavily on fundraising to provide vital resources, specialist equipment and enriching experiences that make such a difference to children like my son. Every donation, no matter how small, will help ensure he and his peers continue to receive the support they deserve.
We will be taking on the challenge to walk from Oscar’s school site based in Reigate to Brighton which is roughly 33 miles and approximately a 16 hour stomp! Why Brighton? Oscar is at his happiest and calmest by the sea, watching the waves ripple & playing with stones. It’s his happy place, so going from one of his happy places to another felt very fitting🫶🏻
If you’re able to sponsor us, you’re not just supporting a walk — you’re supporting children with complex needs to have opportunities, dignity and the best possible future.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support. It truly means the world to us🤍
