Each year the Society's President nominates a charity of their choice for the Annual Charity Appeal, and this provides a national focus for the fundraising efforts of our members and complements the many local charities that our branches support.

Story

Rivers shape our landscapes and provide the foundations for our cities, towns and countryside. When they thrive, wildlife does, so do we.

Your donation will help to support grassroots conservation efforts across the UK and Ireland. It could help to create a totally new wetland, support our fight against sewage pollution, or enable us to ensure that rivers flow freely for fish and other wildlife.

Myself and my partner Stephen are both doing a sky dive to raise awareness and vital funds to support HCR SIS Jo Andrew's charity appeal The Rivers Trust. Who's aim is the educate us all and our younger generations on how important our rivers and natural streams are. Aswell as working to repair the damage that has been caused.

We have 3 children together, Keane 13, Izzac 11 and Skyla 5 who will all be with us and watching us. We are doing this to raise awareness on how important the future of our rivers and wildlife is.

The current state of our rivers through out UK and Northen Ireland is appalling. Our family love going out for walks and exploring nature. Once upon a time, i remember as a child myself, being able to splash and play in the streams and rivers. However, now with my own children i find myself reluctant to let them, a childhood memory i cherish so much i can't share with my own. This is because i know how poor our rivers and beaches are and the amount of Pollution and sewage waste within them.

Please help us in our efforts!
