At the end of May 2025, Broomsticks’ Operations Director, Lee Castle, will be embarking on a mission to walk and wild camp the 230 mile Cape Wrath trail, solo, for the charity Mates in Mind.

Mates in Mind campaign to raise vital funds to help spread and strengthen positive mental health and wellbeing in both the construction and transport industries.

Having once been a long distance class 1 HGV driver, and now working in the construction industry Lee can relate to all manner of factors that affect workers in these industries.

We want to raise money for and spread further awareness of Mates In Mind and the work they do to encourage positive changes in the workplace to support and improve mental health and mental ill-health within the construction and transport industries..
