Story
We’re a group of dads from Brotherhood of Dads (BODS) taking on a mountain trek on 23rd May to raise money for the Stroke Association — an organisation that has supported families through some of the hardest moments imaginable.
For us, this challenge is more than just a physical test. It’s about standing together as dads, showing what community really means, and giving something back to a charity that has made a real difference to people we care about.
One of our dads, Dan, went through every parent’s nightmare when his young son, George, suffered a stroke. Most people don’t realise strokes can happen to children, and when it did, Dan’s world was turned upside down. In that frightening and uncertain time, the Stroke Association were there — offering care, guidance, and genuine compassion when his family needed it most.
George’s journey, and the support Dan received, is a huge part of why we’re doing this. This fundraiser is personal. It’s for families like Dan’s, for kids like George, and for every dad who finds himself facing something he never expected.
Every donation helps the Stroke Association continue their incredible work — supporting survivors, families, and communities across the UK.
Thank you for backing us, and for helping us make a difference.
