Story
Max is taking part in 10YFan 2026, an annual event that challenges participants to climb Pen Y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales, 10 times in 24 hours, a mere 44 miles of ascent and decent!
This is a particularly special year for Max as he will be taking part for the 10th time, the only 10YFAN participant to have taken part in every one!
Max will be taking on this challenge in support of Holibobs Children’s Cancer Charity. Holibobs Children’s Cancer charity provides much needed short breaks and holidays for family’s who have a child suffering from cancer or leukaemia, allowing them to spend precious time together as a family.
Holibob’s goal is to send families on breaks close enough to a children’s hospital to feel safe but to give the whole family a bit of respite from their situation and create some precious memories.
Time together for families in these circumstances is vital however the sad reality is that they often struggle financially as one parent has to give up work to look after the child that is unwell making breaks away as a family more difficult.
This is where Holibobs can help by providing families with a holiday or break away without them having to worry about the financial implications and stress of booking and organising a holiday.
If you are able to sponsor Max in any way, it will be greatly appreciated and will help to mark his 100 climbs and raise much needed funds for Holibobs children’s cancer charity, thank you.
