Story
Dementia is a challenging stage of life for many, but let’s be clear: it’s about living life to the fullest! Our local community, the Eric Liddell Community, ensures that no one feels lonely or isolated. Creating opportunities to bring people together, enhancing their health and well being through a range of services and support programs tailored for those living with dementia and their unpaid carers.
Imagine the impact your contribution could have! With your help in reaching my target, we can deliver 20 seats at a lunchtime table for 20 members to share precious moments every week over the five Autumn/Winter months. Your generosity could also provide respite weekends for the many unsung carers who would greatly welcome a break from their vital roles.
I will be participating in the Edinburgh Kiltwalk on September 14, 2025, I will do the 20 mile walking but help me deliver "the talking!" for all those who benefit from our community's support. I need your help to make this contribution a reality!
As one unpaid carer expressed, "I need to get out and meet people; I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t come here and to these lunches. This place is my saving grace." Together, we can ensure that everyone has access to the companionship and care they deserve.
