On 31st August 2025, I will be joining the 'Clipper Round The World Race 2025-26'. It is one of the greatest ocean sailing races, where ten boats will compete through eight ocean legs to win the ultimate prize. I've always dreamt of sailing around the world, but never thought I would have the opportunity before retirement. At 51 years old, it is truely amazing what happens when you focus on something you really want to do in life! This will be an extraordinary test of endurance both physically and mentally. It is one of the most challenging things I have ever signed up for.
