Lucy Parry is raising money for RFU Injured Players Foundation

Team: In Memory of Bruce Purgavie

In memory of Bruce Purgavie
The RFU Injured Players Foundation supports & protects the rugby family. They provide support to any rugby player who sustains a catastrophic spinal cord injury or traumatic brain injury while playing the game, and they fund vital injury prevention research to keep everyone safer on the field.

Story

Bruce was a kind and joyful man who lived life with purpose, and brought charisma to every occasion. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to many.

We weren’t ready to lose him and will miss him deeply.

Although sending flowers is a lovely gesture, we'd appreciate donations to either of the charities below

RFU Injured Players Foundation

As many of you know, Bruce spent much of his time playing rugby and many joyful hours at Twickenham. The RFU Injured Players Foundation supports rugby players who sustain catastrophic spinal cord or acute severe traumatic brain injuries, and helps to prevent future injuries through research and education.

Alzheimer's Society

Although Bruce's own diagnosis and battle with Alzheimer's was short, he also lost his three older brothers to the disease, and we know many families lose loved ones to this cruel illness. The Alzheimer's Society continues to drive vital research and support families going through care and guidance. You can make a donation to Alzheimer's Society via the teams page.
