Brunel House Care Home in Box are delighted to be supporting Dementia UK during Dementia Action Week from Monday 19th May to Sunday 25th May.

We have a huge range of community events and activities that are inclusive to all abilities and ages, hosted by our residents and staff.

Monday 19th-

The opening ceremony presents......Stars in their eyes!

from 2pm in the main car park.

Come along and be part of our show.

All are encouraged to take part, so if you have a musical talent come and strutt your stuff.

This is all for fun, so lets enjoy it!

The winners of the show will be announced by our expert panel of judges.

You have to be in it, to win it!

Tuesday 20th -

The Cotswold Country Park & Beach

We will have an adventure exploring the nature, feeding the animals, bathing our feet in the water, and then we will soak up the atmosphere with a delightful picnic.

Wednesday 21st -

Brunel - ympics...............Back by popular demand!

To be held in the main car park from 2pm.

We have new and exciting categories for everyone to take part;

Jousting

Welly wanging

Boxing

Discuss

Sit down relay

Spatula and banana race

Musical statues

Costume race

...........and more

Thursday 22nd -

Community car wash

In the main car park from 9am to 4pm.

All you have to do is drive to Brunel House, sit back to watch the residents and staff do the hard work.

Any car, any size for a minimum donation of £5.

There will be music and refreshments whilst you wait.

Friday 23rd -

A 12 hour sponsored danceathon, step challenge street walk starting at Brunel House from 8am.

Support and encourage the team by helping us to reach 200 miles.

We would love to beat our record from 2024 when we walked 172 miles for Dementia UK.

Everyone and anyone is welcome to join us on our 12 hour walk, even if it is for a short distance.

We will have collection buckets whilst on our travels, so please donate if you can.

Saturday 24th -

Family fun day at Brunel House

11am - 4pm

Just like all of our events, we would love for the community to come together for a fabulous afternoon that will be filled with fun, sun, great company and much laughter.

Our family fun days have never disappointed!

Sunday 25th -

PerGate Travel, for your perfect travel needs by land, sea and air!

Join us on our travels as we explore destinations from all around the world chosen by our residents.

We will sample different cuisines, learn about different cultures, taste the fine wines, bathe in the warm waters and extend our brollies fort he British showers.
