I'm running the Brooklyn Half Marathon this year and fundraising for The Family Center, a Brooklyn-based nonprofit where I’ve served on the Board of Directors for the past two years.

The Family Center’s mission is to strengthen families affected by crisis, illness, or loss to create a more secure present and future for their children. When I started volunteering at The Family Center ten years ago, I was amazed at the organization's impact on their clients, and how motivated and passionate agency employees are.

With a business-minded approach, "TFC" provides expert social, legal, mental healthcare, and behavioral healthcare services to New Yorkers and their families. Over 80% of children and teens, who come to TFC, have been exposed to one or more traumatic incidents and suffer a range of symptoms. These youth find healing at TFC, as more than 85% experience symptom reduction in less than 6 months.
