Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge · 24 June 2023

Students from under-resourced backgrounds are three times less likely to make it to a top university than peers from more advantaged backgrounds. We support these students to access top universities through bespoke mentoring, skills-building coaching, tuition, and enrichment activities.

Story

As a team, we are taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge to walk 24 miles in as few hours as possible on Saturday 24th June to raise money for The Access Project. This is a charity that relates to us as a learning provider and we want to help raise funds to support their brilliant cause.

The Access Project are here to help talented young people from disadvantaged backgrounds reach top universities so they can realise their potential and access a range of more rewarding careers.

We do this by matching each young person with two mentors, one-to-one, including a volunteer tutor.

This approach works: our students are 4x as likely as young people like them at other schools to reach a top university.
