We at BT Scotland are keen to raise funds for a local hospice, Accord, who offer palliative care for people in the Renfrewshire and surrounding areas. This is also in honour of our colleague Tom Butt , our dearly loved and missed colleague who very much had charity close to his heart.

In May we had a garden maintenance event in the hospice which allowed us to understand more about the hospice and do some reflection along with team building.

A simple message during the day, that after government funding (30%), the hospice need to raise £9,000 to cover one day of operational costs.

On this day it also gave us time to remember our colleague Tom who sadly passed away suddenly in April with many people mentioning he would have loved to have taken part in the day.

On the back of this we have decided to carry out a walk around one of Toms favourite places in Dunoon which will take us to the very apt ‘Toms Hill’ . It is expected that the distance will be a minimum of 10km and we will work with all team members to make sure that their efforts are enjoyed and raise much needed funds for a local charity.
